If an attic upgrade has been on your list, the Newmarket attic insulation rebate gives you more time to get it done. On October 27, 2026, Enbridge Gas extended Ontario’s Home Renovation Savings Program to March 31, 2027. Its standalone attic stream had been scheduled to close on November 30, 2026.
The Numbers
- Standard attic: up to $1,250 back
- Flat roof or cathedral ceiling: up to $750 back
- Rebate equals 50% of your insulation cost after tax, up to the maximum
- No home energy assessment required
Who Can Apply
Homeowners across Newmarket, from the historic Main Street area to newer neighbourhoods like Stonehaven, can apply if:
- Their attic insulation is below the program’s R-value thresholds
- The upgrade reaches at least R-50
- A participating contractor completes the work
- The home hasn’t already received an attic rebate from Enbridge, Save on Energy or another Ontario program
